GEAR AND SERVICES IN 2010
| All of us can own/invest, manage, and maintain a positive and constructive business, built using open-source. BROGGCAST.com will have a open-investment, which will allow everyone to own part of it. This is a business for everyone to participate in all aspects. BROGGCAST.com and OGGTV, will be available as a group of products and services, for open-source multimedia. In 2010, a number of OGG-audio/video services will appear. OGGTV.com, is just one of the sites early on the scene, starting in 2008. I personally believe all of us should stop wasting our time trying to make a big corporation use OGG-audio/video and HTML5 directly for their sites, and start concentrating on building our own open-source IPTV services. A big corporation can partner with OGGTV.com/BROGGCAST.com, but do-not expect them to use HTML5/OGG directly. Let the big corporations use Flash, and all of us use OGG-audio/video, and HTML5. We can stay open-source, and high-performance, with custom built multimedia-services. With that statement, we can build up BROGGCAST.com in 2010, as one of the true to open-format sites on the planet. "We need our own products", IPTV boxes, Netbooks, OGG-audio/video players, USB boot-sticks, Digital Video Cameras, Baseball Caps, Jackets, Boots/Shoes, etc..., with the Linux always free, to finance an even higher performance, open-source, IPTV framework in 2010. All of us can participate and profit, from the online sale of the products as BROGGCAST.com owners. OGGTV-LINUX, and BROGGCAST OS, are already compatible with live, and standard installation on USB drives. We can build a premium, open-source IPTV service together, with new content, and a "clean-slate", to start with. We do-not need a super-wasteland of videos to be one of the best, we need to roll-up our sleeves and innovate. |

Google can Partner with BROGGCAST.com, because YouTube actually is a completely different form-factor, and social set-up, and only competes for number of overall views. OGGTV is completely different, where it will be a open-source IPTV service, owned and operated by everyone. So BROGGCAST.com is not the same set-up as YouTube technically, and Google Chrome/OS, Chromium, Chrome Frame, Android/Droid, will have HTML5 OGG-audio/video support. A hosting, search, or business agreement with Google, will-not conflict with YouTube, and Google Video, because of the differences. email me at: oggtvfriends@gmail.com or broggcastfriends@gmail.com for ideas, suggestions, and partner information, and lets get the ball rolling for 2010. -and one final note: All of us will be shocked in 2010, if IE9 supports HTML5 OGG-audio/video, using a 3rd party plug-in on Silverlight. Microsoft "could" be planning a way to level the situation. (of course with H264, and windows media by default), If this happens, we should embrace it, because at least they are paving another way for IE users to see OGG-video. This is something which Browser companies are thinking about. I am not counting on this, but it could change the audience of OGGTV.com/BROGGCAST.com in the future, and it is a possibility. |
